New Lounge Seating Solution Highlights Subtle Design
(APRIL 2015—Delanco, NJ) — New for NeoCon 2015, Stylex will debut NYC, a robust system of lounge seating that fuses corporate sophistication with urban casual. NYC is an ideal embodiment of our core design philosophy: to blend both modern and classic elements into uniquely current, yet timeless, furniture. The result is a strong statement that is more subtle than overpowering. Its modular nature creates easy versatility, so that NYC may be specified as either stand-alone units or larger compositions suitable for both executive reception and informal meetings.

The basic NYC building blocks are single, double, and triple seat units. In addition, 90º and 135º corner units, tables, and arms of varying widths are available. A number of upholstery and cushion options permit each installation to be tailored to the specific project’s personality: formal wrap-over back, semi-formal fixed pillow back, and casual throw pillow back in conjunction with tufted seats and/or backs, button-tufted pillow backs, and welt cords round out the offering. The cushions’ scale and comfort are carefully designed to create a residential appeal with contract functionality.
Raised table surfaces may be selected from our stock offering or as a separate purchase by customer.
NYC’s supporting structure is a striking combination of cast aluminum and steel that is engineered for long-term use in public settings.
NYC has been engineered to pass the X5.4-2012 BIFMA standard and uses only water-based, VOC-free glues. Its frames are heavy-duty plywood topped with high-density foam. We fully anticipate that NYC will be GREENGUARD and level® 1 Certified.
