Primus upholstery patterns make just about any leather look fabuous. Seat and back surfaces have been left just enough play to develop the soft, gently wrinkled look that says comfort. Seats, backs, and upholstered arms also feature carefully stitched, exposed double-edge seams framing the perimeters in a way that accentuates the very clean lines of the chair itself. The bottoms of all seats are fully upholstered, as one would expect.

Two types of arms are available for Primus. The more formal are fully upholstered. The others are abrasion-resistant urethane. Both have excellent tactile qualities to enhance the experience of sitting. There are also two different mechanisms for Primus, both with pneumatic seat height adjustment. One is a fully adjustable synchro-tilt, the other a more simple swivel-tilt appropriate for conference applications.

Primus was created by the American designer, Jeff Cronk. It is available with a medium or high back. Stylex offers three different ranges of in-graded leather to choose from. COL is also a possibility. Bases may be specified in black or brightly polished aluminum. Seat and back cushions incorporate CFC-free polyurethane foam.
