Versatile New Option for Multipurpose Applications
(Delanco, NJ – June 7, 2012) Stylex is pleased to introduce the “Brooks” stacking chair. The newest addition to the Stylex range of seating solutions, the versatile Brooks chair combines clean, modern design elements with contemporary thinking about multi-use applications. It may be ordered with or without arms in a range of options including: fully upholstered; plastic seat/back; upholstered seat/plastic back; upholstered seat/wood back; or wood seat/back. Counter and bar height stools are available to complement the stacking version.

Paul Brooks adds, “The Brooks chair is special for two reasons. We all worked very hard to make sure that the chair was truly multipurpose – with or without the arms or any special finishes or features. Secondly, we simplified and reduced the design to make it as clean and as pure as possible. The detailing is exceptionally refined. This was all possible thanks to the dedicated team at Stylex.”
The Brooks chair is about graceful lines and clean construction with no visible fasteners connecting the major components. It sits on square, ⅞” steel legs with cross-stretchers that are ¾” square tubing. Its back is attached by two cast aluminum supports that are staked into the rear legs. Arms are either glass-filled nylon or cast aluminum. Stack pad is injection-molded plastic. All non-stool models will stack 6 on the floor and 10 on their dolly.
As with most Stylex products, the Brooks chair is largely recyclable (precise percentage depends on model specified) and is GreenGuard Certified. Frame finishes include the complete Stylex offering of 12 powder coat paint colors, as well as polished chrome. Plastic components are available in five neutral colors. Wood backs have 10 different finish choices.
